Queensland Premier Anna Bligh has blasted louts at the Indy motorsport festival, saying their bad behaviour - which included cavorting naked on high-rise balconies - had crossed the line. Ms Bligh described the behaviour of drunks and bare-breasted women as "disgusting" and "lewd" and accused them of ruining the Gold Coast's international reputation. The annual showcase event at the weekend was marred by drunks stumbling around Surfers Paradise, topless and nude women cavorting on balconies in full view of other spectators - including children - and prostitutes on balconies holding up signs advertising for sex. Mobs also chanted at passing women to expose themselves while others contributed to "kitties" which were given to women who exposed their breasts. Ms Bligh admitted the event needed to be cleaned up further, despite Indy organisers already offering only mid-strength beer at its venues and closing down some bars. Ms Bligh said she had spoken to Treasurer Andrew Fraser, who is responsible for liquor licensing, about cracking down further on the sale of alcohol and bar opening hours.
